Premium rate is a special form of telephone number that provides the ability to bill the caller directly on their telephone or mobile phone bill. This provides a very simple way to collect fees and payments from a caller without the need to establish any prior credit or complex payment scheme.
Premium rate numbers can be called from any telephone (or mobile) via a number with a prefix of 190. These services can be charged at varying tariffs which can be set at a fixed rate per call or a set rate per minute. Alternatively, SMS premium rate numbers have a prefix of 19 and allow a SMS to be sent or received at a fixed rate.
Using our long term relationships with the telephone and mobile operators (carriers) we handle payment collection seamlessly. The carriers collect the revenue from the callers, and we then provide you with a monthly payment.
Standard Rate
Not all services have to be charged at a premium. You may want to provide a free or low-cost service on behalf of your organisation or a third party. We provide IVR services on a 1300 number, for the cost of a local call for your customers, or on a 1800 number, which is a free call. SMS services can be provided utilising normal mobile telephone numbers with a 04 prefix.
Credit Card
Our IVR systems can provide a full featured credit card service to process any transaction in real time (via connections to the appropriate bank). We can process all the major cards: Visa, Mastercard, Bankcard, American Express and Diners Card. The service is comprised of numerous integration features including beginner or expert modes to guide users.
We can incorporate credit card capabilities into any of your IVR, SMS, Mobile or Web based applications.
Virtual Wallet
The online world is virtual, so why not your wallet too? Our virtual wallet provides the ability for consumers to establish an account with a nominated level of credit. Credit can be applied by utilising credit card, premium rate (IVR and SMS) and other interfaces (pre-paid cards, etc).
Consumers can then use their virtual wallet credit to pay for products and services across Informatel’s merchant list or through external providers. At the time of transaction, the account is automatically debited and managed to allow for balance maintenance and credit control.
